Brides Going 100mph: Slow Down Before Your Wedding

Hey bride, yes you, the one running around like the wedding fairy godmother who never sleeps. Can I just say something? Take a breath.
I get it. The countdown is on, every minute feels urgent, and suddenly every conversation turns into wedding talk. Your family, your friends, your partner, they might just be ready to hide under the table at the next “oh my gosh, have you thought about the flowers?” moment. Trust me, I’ve been there. My sisters had officially had enough of me talking about my own wedding.

Rest is Not a Luxury
It’s easy to forget, but you need to rest. Schedule it like a vendor meeting. Even 20 minutes of doing nothing, no phone, no to-do list, just breathing, will make a difference. Your mind needs it, your body needs it, and yes, your sanity definitely needs it.
Make Time for the People You Love
Take moments to hang out with your family, friends, pets, and most importantly, your partner, outside of wedding talk. These people are your anchors, and you’ll want them fully present (and sane!) on your big day.

Protect Your Relationship
Your fiancé is about to spend the rest of their life with you. Crazy thought, right? Don’t let wedding stress steal precious moments together. I always encourage my clients to sneak in just 20 minutes alone, even on the busiest days, to be present with each other. Seriously, it’s a game changer.
You Are the Guest of Honour
Here’s the thing: everyone will want a piece of you on your wedding day. Photos, hugs, speeches… the list goes on. If you’re running on empty, you’ll miss the magic. Rest now so you can fully soak in the love, laughter, and all those little moments that make your day yours.

💡 Bottom line: Slow down, breathe, and carve out time for rest and presence. Wedding planning is a marathon, not a sprint, and when your big day arrives, you want to be awake, alert, and living it, not just surviving it.
